The business moved to West Hatfield and expanded its offerings, focusing on custom-ordered furniture from various regions, gaining a reputation for quality and personalized service.
1990s
Danco joined Danish Inspirations, a cooperative of furniture retailers, which helped expand its product offerings and strengthen its market presence. This collaboration brought a broader range of Scandinavian and European furniture to their customers.
2000s
In the mid-2000s, Peter Knapp acquired Danco Modern and led it for over a decade. He expanded the product range and maintained the store's quality and customer service, ensuring its continued success until the transition to the current employee-owners.
2017
Former employees Miguel Candelaria Jr., Emily Luippold, and Ross Grant took over ownership, steering the business towards growth while preserving its family-like atmosphere.
2025
Danco acquired Now Furnishings in South Windsor, CT, and we’re excited to bring quality modern and transitional furniture while building lasting connections in the community. The showroom now features the very best Danco has to offer, curated for style, comfort, and lasting value.
